The Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation is dedicated to providing financial relief and establishing a scholarship fund for Fire Rescue personnel and their families in the time of injury and illness. The Foundation is also dedicated to supporting fire prevention practices, promoting fire safety and improving citizen awareness of the activities of the Marco Island Fire Rescue Department.  




Commitment to Firefighters:

  • Provide Financial support to our Firefighters and
    Families when need arises
  • Provide Scholarships to our Firefighters and families through the Monte Lazarus Memorial Scholarship Fund
  • Build strong relationships in the community through private and corporate memberships

Commitment to Community:

  • As a 501c(3) Corporation we strive to support community education through the sponsorship of CPR and Basic First Aid Training
  • Support the “Dial, Don’t Drive – Coll 9-1-1” initiative promoting lifesaving medical response
  • Support the “Smart 9-1-1” secure database through the Sheriff’s Office of Collier County

Programs Supporting Foundation:

  • Annual Luncheon for members to honor our Firefighter of the Year award and inform members of current issues effecting the Department
  • Sponsor two Pancake Breakfasts (Spring & Fall) at the Fire Station to welcome the community in and meet the men and women of the Department
  • Hold a September 11th breakfast in Tribute to the Firefighting Profession
  • Sponsor a Chili Cook Off with music in October to gather the community in a popular fundraiser for the Foundation
